HOW IT ALL STARTED

Welcome to Creative Suga Design Studio! We’re more than just a design studio—we’re a space where creativity meets passion, and where your vision gets the sweet treatment it deserves.

The journey to Creative Suga began in 2015 when I, Shanay, was a single mom juggling a full-time job and the desire to spend more quality time with my daughter. While my full-time job provided stability, I was looking for a way to generate additional income without sacrificing precious moments with her. That’s when I started Shay Lanae Designs, a creative outlet focused on making invitations, flyers, and personalized projects—things that allowed me to express my creativity and help others while staying present at home.

What started as a small, side hustle grew steadily as I honed my skills and built a loyal client base. Asthe demand for my work grew, so did my offerings. I transitioned from just personal projects to providing graphic design services that met the growing needs of businesses. Over time, I expanded into branding, marketing, and digital design services—helping entrepreneurs and businesses create memorable brands and effective marketing strategies.

In 2024, I rebranded Shay Lanae Designs to Creative Suga Design Studio, marking a major milestone in my journey. This new chapter allowed me to streamline my focus and continue to grow my business by offering even more services, including virtual assistant support. Today, Creative Suga provides not just design, but comprehensive business solutions to help clients grow and succeed without the stress and burnout.

Hey there! I'm Shanay and I am the creative force behind Creative Suga Design Studio. Family is at the core of everything I do, and I dedicate myself to balancing my roles as a mom and a business owner with as much love and care as possible. I started my business 10 years ago and never looked back. I’m a coffee lover who thrives in organized chaos (it's my superpower), and I’ve honed my skills over the years—starting with a degree in Information Systems and later teaching myself graphic design.

Creating brings me immense joy, but what truly fuels my passion is building lasting relationships with my clients. There's something special about connecting with people and helping them bring their visions to life. I’m always a student in this world, as I believe there’s always something new to learn. Whether it's refining my craft or exploring new ideas, I'm constantly growing and evolving.
